Growing & Maintenance Tips for Aquilegia caerulea Origami™ 'Mix'

Columbine's prefer well-drained soil in full sun to partial shade. Make sure that the crown of the plant's taproot does not become exposed in succeeding years. In the fall cut to basal foliage. In the spring, remove dead foliage only. If severely affected by leaf miners, cut foliage back to the ground. New growth will emerge and can remain through winter. Sometimes mildew affects the leaves, but rarely does much harm. Dividing columbines requires great care because mature plants do not like being moved or divided.
